Fashion Week velvet takes the spotlight again!

It’s one of our favorite times of the year– Fashion Week is churning out incredible imagery and exhilarating inspiration for Fall 2017.

The New York shows revealed that velvet is still in high demand.  “Designers are still crushing for velvet, this time cutting designs from the rich fabric and making the case for it in formal jewel-tone hues,” according to Elle.com.

Velvet On The Runways

Here in Los Angeles, La Tavola celebrated Fashion Week with uber stylist and designer extraordinaire Rachel Zoe. Her new collection presentation at the Sunset Tower Hotel was amazing and we will thrilled to be part of it.  VIPS and A-listers including Eva Longoria, Nicole Richie, Poppy Delevigne, Olivia Culpo, Jaime King, Selma Blair and more were in attendance. Guests watched the show from their tables featuring La Tavola’s Beige Velvet linen and White Tuscany napkins.

We are so excited to take you inside of our La Tavola Experience and intimate dinner we designed for the lovely and fashionable TV host Louise Roe a few weeks back at Big Daddy’s Antiques. What a dreamy set up it was!

You must check out Big Daddy’s Antiques – the venue was one of a kind and our Velvet Navy linen accented with Tuscany Wedgwood napkins fit so perfectly surrounded by antiques. Our friends at Casa de Perrin provided the stunning tabletop. The clear glass matte gold rimmed chargers really let our velvet linen shine. There were so many unique vintage pieces like blue and white floral and chintz patterned china to cut crystal goblets. Louloudi Floral Design completed the scene with florals that ran down the whole center of the table – truly a beautiful sight!

Delicious bites were provided by Haute Chefs LA with a menu of winter salad with pan roasted salmon, polenta, farro salad, honey roasted carrots, pepita brittle and pear tartlets paired with One Hope wine.  Yum!

Louise hosted her friends and fellow influencers including Paola Alberdi of Blank Itinerary, Brittany Xavier of Thrifts and Threads, Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere, Jenny Cipoletti of Margo and Me, Annabelle Fleur of Viva Luxury, E! News’ Catt Sadler, and Marianna Hewitt of Life With Me.

The media loved our La Tavola Experience! Check it out here:
