Award season is in full swing and we can’t wait for the 2016 Oscars! The glitz and glam of the red carpet + the excitement of who will take home the award = one fun night. Take part in this year’s event by hosting a viewing party. All you need is a show-stopping linen and your favorite people, then pop that champagne, download and fill out your Oscar ballots and enjoy the evening! Here’s some ideas of looks you can pull together…

For a classic atmosphere go with black-and-white in Dupionique silk for a more simple feel or in our Sequin Collection for a real transformative look. Our Soho Black linen is pictured above with a stark white napkin for contrast for a fun and festive effect.

Go for the gold with a more opulent display in Hollywood Gold (below) or New York Copper. The evening is all about who gets the gold figurines after all, so add a splash to your celebration.

Bring the drama by combining black and gold decor with Shimmer Biscuit and Leather Dots Black. This rich and luxurious combo would be a great foundation for any Oscar party.

Keeping it more casual? You don’t need to deck out a full table setting, just cover your existing table in a fabulous linen to display your sips and small bites on. A linen can set the tone for your party to leave you free to hang out and enjoy rather than pulling together a whole set up. Keep it simple for yourself and have some fun!

2016 Oscars – Best Picture Nominees

In preparation for this big event we’re working our way through the nominations for best picture so we can make an informed decision when we vote. Who’s your top choice for best picture of the year? Don’t forget to print those ballots for your viewing parties to see who comes closest with the academy’s choices.

And be sure to share your festivities with us! Post your design on Instagram and tag @latavolalinen with #oscarswithlatavola for a chance to win $250 towards a linen order.*  Can’t wait to see your parties!
