Whoa! An editorial like this only comes around every once in a while. This lavender field-inspired shoot featured on Style Me Pretty is a delight to feast your eyes on.
Soft and gentle, while impressive and distinct, Oak And The Owl really outdid themselves on this beautiful design.
What we love about this design scheme is how the lavender theme is tied into the whole ethos of the story, yet each element feels free to go off on its own tangent. The flowers, for example, bring in the beautiful lavender color and also add a summery flair to the scene with the dusty pinks, vibrant fuchsias, and fresh peaches.
The dress is stunning with its lavender underlayer, and the flowing neutral top layer compliments the lavender field beautifully.
We absolutely love the freshness of the table and how the Topaz Lavender linen was used as a beautiful background for the whole palette of the tablescape. The accents of gold warm the setting, but don’t overwhelm it or draw attention from the beauty of the whole. The purple and crystal glassware both stand out and blend perfectly with the entire scheme — exactly what you want each component of a truly masterful design to do.
The photography by Sally Pinera is undeniably stunning, and each image exquisitely captures the natural light. All of these elements together make you feel like you’re the one gliding through the lavender field in the warm sunlight and enjoying a truly beautiful day.
